Students and COVID-19

#general #covid-19 #opinion Students and COVID-19

I know the world is suffering but it distresses me even more when I have to hear my people are suffering and I don't have much to offer.

Namaste!

I am in Melbourne where stage four restrictions and Curfew have recently been announced due to which most of the Victorians have lost their jobs and businesses. People are coping since March and waiting for the ease of restrictions instead lockdown has been elevated with the rise of cases. And, they are having the most strenuous time of their lives. My heart goes to those students who have just arrived here for their studies and are struggling even for food. I feel so sorry for them.

The pain you feel after telling your family that everythings okay and you open your social media to beg for some help is indescribable.

I'm not sure what'll be next and who will be responsible for all those students. Australian Government? Embassy? As Embassies have “cooperated” with the Australian Government and the former one seems like it is still not so clear about the situation, I think it won’t be surprising if international students lose faith in the Australian system.
